1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Converter4a (converter4a.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the service immediately.

2. Use of Service

Converter4a provides free online tools for PDF and document conversion, including but not limited to: compressing, merging, splitting, rotating, protecting, unlocking, watermarking, and converting files between PDF, Word, and image formats.

You may use our tools for lawful personal or professional purposes. You agree not to:

  • Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious content.
  • Use the service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activity.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.
  • Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

3. Free Usage Policy

Converter4a currently offers its core tools free of charge under the following conditions:

  • No login required — Most PDF tools (compress, merge, split, rotate, protect, unlock, watermark, PDF to image, image to PDF, PDF to Word, Word to PDF) are available without creating an account.
  • Maximum file size: 100 MB per file — This is the server-enforced hard limit. For optimal performance, we recommend keeping files under 20 MB.
  • No fixed monthly file limit — There is currently no restriction on the number of files you can process per month.
  • Certain features may require login — Select tools (e.g., Image Compression) require a free Converter4a account.

These free usage limits are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of Converter4a. We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or remove usage limits without prior notice.

4. Upcoming Pro Subscription

Converter4a plans to introduce a Pro subscription in the future. The proposed details are as follows:

  • Proposed price: ₹50 per year
  • Proposed features:
    • Up to 100 MB file size (priority processing)
    • Up to 500 files per month
    • Access to exclusive Pro-only tools
    • Priority support

Disclaimer: The Pro plan is upcoming and not yet available. Pricing, features, and availability are subject to change before official launch. No payment is collected until the Pro plan is officially launched.

5. File Handling & Privacy

Your privacy and data security are important to us:

  • Automatic deletion: All uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. In rare cases where immediate cleanup fails, files are removed within 1 hour.
  • No permanent storage: Converter4a does not permanently store, archive, or back up any user-uploaded files.
  • No file sharing: Uploaded files are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by third parties.
  • Processing only: Files are used solely for the purpose of the requested conversion or processing operation.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all files you upload to and download from Converter4a. By using our service, you confirm that you have the legal right to upload and process the files you submit. Converter4a claims no ownership or rights over your content.

7. Limitation of Liability

Converter4a and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the service.
  • We are not liable for any data loss, file corruption, or damages arising from the use of our tools.
  • Always maintain backups of your original files before processing.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Converter4a shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

8. Modifications to Terms & Service

Converter4a reserves the right to:

  • Modify, update, or replace these Terms of Service at any time.
  • Change, suspend, or discontinue any feature or tool without prior notice.
  • Adjust usage limits, file size caps, or introduce new restrictions as needed.

Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
